At the time, I was struggling with my life beyond the walls of work. A life where I wanted to build a family, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not. A world where working harder didn’t mean more success as it had for me in business. Infertility was utterly crippling - not just physically, but emotionally - and by extension it challenged my whole identity as a woman. Fast forward through tragedy and thanks to the wonders of modern medicine my beautiful son was conceived.

I felt a profound shift in perspective after he was born - and from that moment I knew I wanted to live closer to a deeper purpose and passion.

In the lead up to his birth, I began seeking out and supporting female-founded e-commerce brands. In doing so, I discovered an emerging and thriving community full of ambitious women entrepreneurs. And importantly, their products were good. Really good. Amazing even. And I wanted to see them grow, to succeed, and for others to experience what they’d worked hard to build and bring to life.

I started reaching out as a customer, excited to connect - and some of those brands became our customers! From there Foresight has evolved into who we are today. The #1 digital agency for female founded ecommerce brands.

Waking up every day to lift other women up, to celebrate their success, to get excited about what they offer and the amazing brands they’re building, is so deeply satisfying.

As the original founder of the Female Founders Committee at Startup Victoria - a community which has grown to over 60,000 members since its inception, supporting other women is not new to me. In fact, it feels like coming home.
